If you fly from Germany, we recommend flying from Düsseldorf with LTU:  http://www.bmair.nl/Vliegtickets/Airlines/LTU.htm

This is a direct flight without stopovers in Dubai (The Emirate) or any other Gulf state. Usually the departure from Düsseldorf is in the afternoon and departure at Suvarnabhumi airport in Bangkok at 10:00 am. You will hardly have any problems with jetlag. Make sure to book on time!

Not far from Düsseldorf airport is private parking area with a shuttle service to the terminal. It is reasonably priced, easy to reach and with your your car at the airport you don't have to worry about the last train when you return home. Here the same advice: make your parking reservation on time by e-mail for not only Dutch know about this 'secret tip-off''. The website address: www.park-and-travel.de

If you stay for a maximum of four weeks in Thailand, a passport is sufficient. There's no need to first apply for a visa. In the airplane you will receive an immigration card where you fill in your arrival and departure date, your passport number, etc. Just have a ball-point pen ready. If you do not plan to travel to the northeast of Thailand, you don't need vaccinations. For any stomach irritations we recommend Imodium. Note that the drugstores in Thailand always have something for emergencies, including toiletries.
